Online teacher training: a CMO success

When the UK went into lockdown back in March, Callan Method teacher training had to stop for a while. But people still wanted to train. Luckily, development of our Online Callan Classroom (the OCC) was almost complete, and we were soon able to start offering training courses online!
We all learned how to use the OCC and, since the end of September, we’ve had 4 full online teacher training courses resulting in 20 new Callan Method teachers (most recently we trained four new teachers for Executive Training Center in Budapest, Hungary). We’ve also conducted two refresher courses for a further 16 teachers. And this training offers two things: Callan Method teacher training and instruction on using the OCC for delivering online lessons to language students following any of the Callan Method courses.
Further development of the OCC means that it’s now a perfect interface for teaching online. We’re really enjoying training people online. It’s great fun and effective, and it’s amazing to be able to meet up with everyone and help them with their Callan Method teaching despite the current restrictions on us all.
We’ll restart face-to-face training again as early in 2021 as we can but, in the meantime, we’re looking forward to doing more online courses (after a short Christmas and New Year break!).
